Consulting Team

Mike helps HBC clients harness artificial intelligence (AI) to transform their organizations, strengthening governance, accelerating innovation, and unlocking strategic advantage while managing risk in an evolving regulatory landscape.

Mike is a Principal in Husch Blackwell Consulting’s AI Advisory Services practice where he helps organizations navigate the practical, regulatory, and governance challenges of adopting artificial intelligence.  He works closely with executive leadership, legal and compliance teams, and technical stakeholders to ensure AI initiatives are effective, defensible, and responsibly deployed.

Mike brings over 25 years of experience as a technology-focused attorney to his advisory work. His background includes extensive work with artificial intelligence and generative AI technologies, including advising product and engineering teams on development, deployment, and risk management.  Before joining HBC, Mike was a lead product attorney for a number of digital media product and technical teams, regularly handling legal matters involving artificial intelligence and becoming particularly involved with generative AI technologies through his longstanding work with Adobe’s research organization. During his tenure, he was a cornerstone of AI legal support at Adobe.

In 2025, Mike joined HBC to leverage both his prior work as a lawyer and hands-on AI experience in direct support of HBC’s client initiatives. His work focuses on helping organizations evaluate and prioritize AI opportunities, establish governance frameworks, and address AI compliance and regulatory considerations.  While Mike is licensed to practice law in the state of Maryland, his work at HBC is in a consultancy capacity only. As such, he serves as a resource for attorneys as they advise their clients on legal matters involving AI technologies.
